Our client, a world leading sporting goods company, is currently seeking highly motivated individuals, passionate Demand Planners, for these challenging and dynamic roles.  As valued members of the Supply Chain team, you will drive the Demand Planning process across the Australian business.  These recruits will also be key players in the S&OP process as well as inventory management and planning.  The business is going through some exciting changes in Australia and you will be involved in major projects and the implementation of new systems and processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Demand and Inventory plans for multiple brands across the Australian business
  • Play a key role in the S&OP process driving cross functional alignment and communication
  • Monitor and report on key changes in sales forecasts, budgets and business trends
  • Partner with key stakeholders to drive the Product Lifecycle Management process including product transitions and run downs
  • Develop effective forecasting models based on available data including industry trends and demand patterns and continuous improvement of processes and systems to increase forecast accuracy
  • Communicate forecast and inventory projections to key stakeholders as required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Strong aptitude for analysis and reporting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and efficiently communicate cross functionally
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • High level of organizational and time management skills
  • Hands on experience using SAP or similar ERP system as well as Demand Planning tools
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Demand Planning role or similar equivalent

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will join a team orientated and customer focused business.
