The Role

A newly created Director of Online Sales role within the international markets will be your perfect opportunity to contribute to the major growth of the online business and ensure your personal growth within the company. If you are passionate about building out the online business, expanding the network, increasing sales and breaking targets, this is the right challenge for you.

This role will closely collaborate with the senior sales manager of the company, as well as the digital marketing team, while leading your team. This position aims to build long-term and sustainable relationships in the online markets and globally expand the company’s e-business portfolio to contribute to its growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relations with current and new online sales partners on an international level – such as Amazon, Zalando, etc.
  • Manage and support online accounts including day-to-day business
  • Expand the online sales market internationally
  • Actively contribute to and develop the online sales growth strategy
  • Create and implement online policies and partnership plans
  • Be responsible for budget, planning and managing of international online sales channels
  • Manage sales and margins for online channels, as well as sales- and inventory planning
  • Collaborate with the digital and e-commerce teams for the online platforms with content, promotions, and pricing to meet the budgets
  • Manage a team

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years online sales experience in an international online environment
  • University degree in the field of economics, digital, marketing or similar
  • Proven track record in international online sales of sporting/consumer goods
  • Strong knowledge of the European and international online markets
  • Strong relationship-building skills and an existing online distribution network
  • Confidence with online key account tasks
  • Hands-on, can-do attitude with a strategic mind-set
  • Enthusiasm for developing and seeking new opportunities & developing relationships
  • Management experience and/or potential is a great asset
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (Italian and/or German are advantageous)
  • Passion for (outdoor) sports is a big plus
