Global Commercial Manager – Katusha

The Role

As Global Commercial Manager you will be charge of the complete wholesale commercial strategy to drive significant growth in the priority countries to position KATUSHA as a leader in premium cycling apparel and accessories. You will lead the sales effort to achieve objectives in turnover and profitability.
You bring proven experience in commercial and sales in the cycling and apparel industry, a commercial mindset with a hands-on approach, and you are driven by results and performance to lead the growth of the wholesale business.
You will work in synergy with other roles (product, marketing, communication social media, etc.) to align the commercial strategies with the global product and marketing plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recommend a commercial strategy in line with KATUSHA’s global outlook, based on a thorough market analysis
  • Unlock new market opportunities and territories to develop the business
  • Create a distribution plan by country/region, including trade channels, distribution partners, key retail relationships and sales representation
  • Coordinate the annual commercial planning (pre lines, sales meeting, pre orders period…)
  • Generate and integrate sales reports and management tools to create transparency around objectives, progress, opportunities and challenges
  • Develop and implement a process for sales forecasting (annual, quarterly, monthly) by country/region and provide forecasts to the product development & sourcing team
  • Monitor and report market and competitor activities, providing relevant knowledge and information
  • Set-up the budget to optimise resources accordingly and monitor the budget as required to report, liaise and communicate on sales development
  • Manage the distributors and sales agents on a daily basis
  • Act as point of contact with the key accounts
  • Provide feedback to the product development team (perceived value, pricing, margin, etc.)

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial and sales focused role in wholesale business
  • Background in the cycling and apparel industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or marketing
  • Results-driven, strong business mindset
  • Proven organisation skills and team-working skills
  • Hands-on working style with a proactive problem-solver mentality
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Fluency in English is required (French is ideal and additional languages are an asset)
