The Role

Reporting to the Director of Partnership Management, this position is held within the Global Partnership EMEA Department.

The Partnership Coordinator will be an integral part of IRONMAN commercial team, responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial partners ensuring all areas of the commercial partnership agreement are met, and the partnership is developed so that it adds value to both the partner and IRONMAN through upselling opportunities. This will include working with Marketing departments to help deliver partner digital assets, supporting partners on strategic goals and objectives and the delivery of activation assets on site at IRONMAN races.

The role will include information research, preparation of reports and supporting the sales process.  The role will provide a 360-degree exposure to the IRONMAN commercial procedure from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the key point of contact for IRONMAN Partners with the purpose of managing their sponsorship, understanding their business, while driving growth through sales, increasing renewals, and adding new brands or events to a sponsor’s portfolio.
  • Develop a written strategic plan and overview for each account and provide a service plan for each.
  • Schedule regular status calls and face to face meetings, based upon account size – to ensure ongoing communication and account management.
  • Attend races, including weekends, to oversee on-site activation and delivery of sponsorship
  • Assist the Activations Manager in the creative branding and activation plans for each race
  • Ensure delivery of post-race reports including media summaries both internally and to partners
  • Work with other Team members within the following areas; Operations, Partnership Services Team, Athlete Services, Marketing, PR, and Sales, to ensure a current list of Partner contacts and information for use of partnership execution.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to think quickly, strategically and manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Client management and/or activations experience
  • Must be able to travel as needed basis to visit accounts and attend IRONMAN races.
  • Fluent in both German and English (Written and Verbal)
