The Role

Provide the Partnerships Development Team with intelligent, creative and research and insight to inform and drive the development of club partnerships. Lead on projects/workstreams that will be instrumental to the delivery of the partnerships central category strategy and broader business development objectives. Support the Partnerships Insight & Planning Manager (PIPM) in the day-to-day running of the Partnerships Insight and Planning Team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver compelling sales arguments

  • Provide stakeholders with intelligent, creative and inspirational market research and insight, to inform and drive the development of club partnerships
  • Provide strong sales arguments to support the Liverpool FC Partnership Development team
  • Produce the right output, which is in step with each partnership sales case and argument
  • Work alongside the Central Insight and Research team in demonstrating the value and effectiveness of Liverpool FC partnerships
  • Engage in delivering versatile research and insight reports to enable sales efforts (by market, prospect, category)
  • Ownership of key categories / properties, and recommendations of appropriate sales approach

2. Develop partner prospecting lists and produce market intelligence insight

  • Use a range of tools and resources to develop detailed prospecting lists across global markets and categories
  • Work in partnership with other members of the partnership team to provide insight on consumer lifestyles, social trends and emerging behaviours across key markets
  • Disseminate regular sales planning, pipeline and market reports (by market, prospect and category)
  • Ownership of prospecting for key existing and emerging global markets
  • Aggregating and communicating all relevant external research and analysis

3. Deliver bespoke insight studies

  • To be involved in the participation of industry-wide research and insight
  • Work with the Insight and Planning manager to identify information gaps, pertinent to the commercial role
  • Making an impact contribution into the core projects of the team and the wider Research and Insight team

Qualifications & Skills

The successful candidate will have an understanding of commercial sports and its position in the broader media and entertainment industry. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to behave as an effective member of a team with strong initiative and influencing skills with a positive attitude and enthusiasm to progress is essential. The ability to demonstrate significant experience in a relevant data-driven role with an advanced competency in statistical analysis and data modelling is required. The individual will need a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and have experience working with Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce or other CRM software.

  • Deliver a minimum number of fully vetted new prospects each month (number to be agreed)
