The Role

The Senior Specialist, Social Media works within our growing social team to help achieve best practice in the day-to-day running of the club’s social platforms, including content creation and publication and is focused on overall development and growth of all of LFC’s social channels.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily publication of content on the clubs social media platforms
  • Responsible daily for conception, production and delivery of social first content
  • Responsible for the daily management of the Clubs cross platform content planner- social section – liaising with key stakeholders.
  • Work with Senior Managers to shape how the Club presents itself to Reds worldwide across social media through the introduction of creative new ideas and concepts and formats, with a strong focus on video and graphics.
  • Work in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders including the Content, Graphics, Commercial and Marketing teams on the creation and delivery of branded content and paid campaigns.
  • Responsible for conceiving, pitching and executing innovative and dynamic ideas in conjunction with the Club’s Video and Graphics teams to deliver engaging, sharable and high quality content.
  • Ensure that the Club is at the forefront of social media innovation and best practice, maintaining a sharp eye on our competitor set and other influential content creators/social media accounts.
  • Provide (including LIVE) matchday social media coverage at Anfield and at away matches across all competitions Premier League, Champions League, WSL and Academy.
  • Conduct research/analysis and measurement and present social analytics to other departments
  • Assist with the promotion of LFCTV programming across Social Media and drive new ideas to grow and evolve the channel.

Qualifications & Skills

The ideal candidate will have extensive football knowledge and a deep understanding of the social media landscape. Exceptional communication and planning skills are key, as well as an outstanding aptitude for the creation, coordination and publication of content across social media. A burning desire for all-things digital with experience in conceiving, producing and delivering social first content is imperative. Social media platform expertise and editorial knowledge, ability and tone are essential for this position.

This is a full time role that will work any 5 from 7 days of the week based around the football fixtures.
