The World Olympians Association Project Manager will develop and manage WOA communications and events.

Main responsibilities


  • Project manage the delivery of WOA’s Games-time activity including OLY House and Olympian programmes
  • Project manage the delivery of WOA events and external meetings including: WOA General Assembly, World Olympians Forum, continental workshops


  • Develop and deliver WOA communications strategy across all platforms (web content, newsletters, social media, translation) and create new strategies
  • Drive implementation of WOA Digital Strategy


  • Support activities against the WOA plan and budget
  • Support the development of annual budgets and operations plans
  • Provide administrative support for WOA including database maintenance, meeting schedules and logistics
  • Undertake management or support of WOA and Sports Department projects and programmes as required

Training and language and IT skills

  • University degree, equivalent qualification, or professional experience deemed equivalent
  • Minimum four years’ experience in communications and event management
  • Being an Olympian is an advantage
  • Experience with digital platforms, CRM platforms and media monitoring tools
  • Highest standard of English verbal and written communication (French fluency would be an asset)
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management tools, communication tools and social media
  • Excellent command of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Adobe creative suite
